The group is financially independent and largely self financing, raising money through Raffles, Tombolas, Table Top Sales and Fayres. Two successful capital grant applications, one from Living Spaces for £5000 has financed development of the Village Garden. The second of £300 from Centrica has provided improved heating.
Our group, presently with around 20 members, meets each Wednesday at 2.30 pm in the Village Hall, close to All Saints' church. Ladies provide tea and refreshments. Our Secretary is Chris Midgley and Treasurer is Steve Midgley. Everybody can have their say, and there is rarely need for a vote - except perhaps for the venue of our Christmas Dinner!
We have a full programme of social activities throughout the year with, garden walks, boat trips and sponsored bike rides. Pea and Pie suppers, Harvest Festival and an Autumn Fayre leading up to Carol Concerts and a Christmas Dinner to complete our year!
New members are always welcome.
